Delaware Technical Community College recently won 13 District 1 Medallion awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. The college was the recipient of three gold awards for first place, six silver awards for second place and four bronze awards for third place. The winning entries included the college’s 50th Anniversary Marketing Plan which won a gold award, and its microsite which won a silver award, as well as several campus-based projects.

The District 1 Medallion Awards is the only regional competition of its kind that honors excellence in marketing, design and communication exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at community colleges. Delaware Tech’s entries were judged against all regional community colleges in NCMPR District 1.

Membership includes community colleges from Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and United Kingdom. The council is the leading professional development organization exclusively serving two-year college communicators.
