All the colours under the sun!
People in Bath have no excuse not to look their best as the cult make-up brand MAC has opened in the city.
Although shoppers have been able to buy from a concession in Jolly’s, this is the first time the cult brand has had its own store in the city.
The new store in SouthGate opened this morning at 9.30am – and so many shoppers were eager to get their hands on its wider range that it had to close its door just two minutes later.
This meant that prospective shoppers had to wait until people had left before they were allowed into the store.
First in the queue was Sharon Melling from Radstock, whose husband had told her about the opening after he saw it on the Chronicle’s Facebook page.

Sharon is no stranger to MAC and had arrived at 9.15am expecting large crowds.
But initially there were just a handful of people – until a crowd formed near to opening time.
“I’m going to replenish a few things and look at the summer range for bronzers – I want to get holiday ready,” she said.
“Their make-up is a higher quality – you put it on and it lasts 15 hours.
“(So much so that) you have to take it off.”

Friends Teixeira Baber, Abi Ringham and Emily Davey were hoping to get their hands on some freebies.
“We’re after some samples and to have a look round. We might buy something on payday!”

Also browsing were friends Zach Davis, 21, Verity Kick and Kay Hutchison.
Zach bought a lipstick while Kay bought some eyeshadow.
“I’ve bought an eyeshadow set which has some sparkles (in it),” she said.
“I just like make-up!” and she was in the right place – 286 shades of lipsticks are available in store plus 50 shades of foundation.

The store also offers makeovers and will show customers the right way to apply their make-up.
It opens 9.30am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 9.30am
