New Delhi: Search giant Google Inc. on Wednesday said it has partnered with TechHub, a global community for tech entrepreneurs, as it tries to help startup companies.

TechHub, which helps tech companies across the world scale their businesses, said the collaboration will benefit Indian startups. TechHub members in Bengaluru, Riga, Bucharest, Madrid, Warsaw and London will have access to programmes and assistance from Google including Google mentors, the Google for Entrepreneurs international demo days, Google for Entrepreneurs Exchange and Google Cloud Platform credits for qualifying startups.

“In Bangalore we see a huge variety of startups creating innovative products, and we want to help them succeed both in India and all around the world,” said Elizabeth Varley, TechHub’s global co-founder and CEO. “TechHub and Google for Entrepreneurs is a strong partnership that will empower Indian entrepreneurs to go global from the very beginning.”

London headquartered TechHub, which was founded in 2010 by serial entrepreneur Elizabeth Varley and Mike Butcher of TechCrunch Europe and works with 700 companies globally, offers programs which help founders deal with challenges at different stages of developing their company and product. It also connects tech startups to investors, lawyers and politicians and other startup ecosystems around the world.

“We are excited to expand our work with TechHub beyond Google for Entrepreneurs’s Campus network, where we have collaborated successfully over a number of years,” said David Grunwald, Google for Entrepreneurs’ Head of EMEA Partnerships. “TechHub’s ‘community first’ values and their focus on supporting founders and startups with education and programs align perfectly with the goals of Google for Entrepreneurs.”
