The iPhone 17 is expected to go on sale on September 9 at the jaw-dropping event. It is anticipated that Apple will present all new iPhone 17 models, including the most recent iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air, which are expected to undergo a redesign. However, Apple may also surprise all of its fans with the AirTag 2, which may come in the form of a surprise. Yes, the AirTag 2 may finally appear alongside all-new products such as the anticipated AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and more.

According to a report published by 9to5Mac, Apple may be planning to introduce the AirTag 2 in conjunction with the iPhone 17 series as soon as September. According to the publication’s report, there is a “very good chance” that the AirTag 2 will make its debut at the event. In the past, other sources, like Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, have also said the same thing, saying that AirTag is almost ready and is getting ready to launch.

What might the AirTag 2’s new features be?

The report adds that the new AirTag 2 may offer a number of enhancements, such as increased range and precision finding, making it much simpler to locate an AirTag than it was previously. With the speaker reportedly being difficult to remove and a new ultra-wideband chip that may be identical to that found in the iPhone 15, privacy will be prioritized more heavily. Regarding its appearance, it is not anticipated to undergo a significant aesthetic overhaul. As a result, do not expect a significant redesign because, let’s face it, there is already a thriving accessory ecosystem and Apple may not wish to disrupt it by forcing people to upgrade to newer keychains and other accessories.

Currently, you get the normal AirTag, which was released on 20 April 2021, which is roughly more than four years ago. They are compatible with Apple’s FindMy network. These devices are simple to use and can be inserted into your luggage or keychains. The Apple AirTag has been credited with helping a lot of people locate their luggage. Since then, there have been other devices that can use Apple’s FindMy network, especially the likes of the JioTag Air, which can actually use Apple’s FindMy network and allow it to be detected using an iPhone, just like you do with the AirTag.
