We’ve all been there – you park on a meter in the city centre but end up being a little longer than you expected.
Coronation Street Kym Marsh came a cropper as she and boyfriend Matt Baker left their car in a bay on Spring Gardens on Saturday afternoon.
And Kym’s face said it all as she returned to find that distinctive yellow and black parking notice slapped on the windscreen.
The loved-up couple had headed for a bit of a pamper at exclusive new beauty salon, Evelyn House of Hair and Beauty on Saturday.
But, enjoying the pampering for a bit longer than they apparently expected, meant for bad news on the return to their car.
For as anyone who parks in Manchester knows, the eagle-eyed wardens don’t take long to pounce if you go over your allotted time.
Ah well, at least the couple were able to enjoy themselves at the glitzy new £1mn Evelyn salon, as they were all smiles as they left after a four-hour session.

The glitzy salon, with sparkling gold and crystal interiors, was launched earlier this month by entrepreneur Evelyn Cong with a VIP party attended by Hollywood star Sadie Frost .
Evelyn aims to provide a one-stop-shop for beauty and hair treatments for both men and women at her new venture.
Kym and personal trainer Matt were dressed in casual gear for their salon trip, with Kym showing off her fabulous figure in skintight black ripped jeans and a paisley printed t-shirt.Meanwhile Corrie favourite Kym is preparing for some dramatic storylines ahead on the soap as Michelle Connor.
Her character’s complicated lovelife is set to continue, with a whole host of her ex-boyfriends seemingly vying for her attention on the show, although it doesn’t sound like she will be reunited with hubby Steve McDonald anytime soon.
Kym recently said in an interview he’d have to “do something pretty amazing to win Michelle back”.
