WHY CONSIDER AN APTITUDE TEST?
The tremendous amount of educational and career options available today, makes it important to understand one’s aptitude, skills, interests and background in order to develop a holistic career path.

An aptitude test taps into your personality, interests and potential

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO TAKE A TEST LIKE THIS?
An aptitude test should be taken just before certain academic milestones –in the 8th standard where subject selection is required; in the 10th or 12th standard when the undergraduate stream (arts, commerce or sciences) is finalized . There are also aptitude tests for young professionals who may be considering a change of career.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The format of an aptitude test may vary, but it essentially tests students on a few basic faculties–verbal, spatial, numeric and mechanical, assessing one’s understanding, design and artistic ability and their ability to cope with the more technical streams. These tests are usually part of comprehensive packages, including interest and personality assessments.
A good counsellor could guide a student beyond the test–playing mediator between students’ interests and parents’ expectations, or enabling their personality development.
