Amazon India on Monday, September 16 announced that it would host its biggest festive sale in India – the Great Indian Festival – from September 29 to October 6. The festive sale will begin at 12AM on September 29 and it will go on till 11:59PM on October 4. Amazon Prime members, however, will get an exclusive access to special deals and discounts at 12PM on October 28.
“The Great Indian Festival is the most awaited shopping season for customers in India. With an exciting and vast selection of deals & launches, instant bank discounts, programs such as Amazon Pay EMI, No-cost EMI on Debit & Credit cards and Bajaj Finserv Cards, fast delivery & installation of appliances, exchange of mobile phones and large appliances, exciting cashback and lots more, customers can look forward to our greatest celebration ever,” Manish Tiwary, Vice President – Category Management, Amazon India said while flagging off the event.
During its upcoming festive sale, Amazon India will offer customers deals and discounts on a host of products including smartphones, laptops, cameras, large appliances & TVs, home and kitchen products, fashion, consumables such as grocery and beauty, consumer electronics and more.
This year’s Great Indian Festival comes with a budget focused theme – Now budget won’t hold back India’s celebration – and so the e-retail giant is offering a wide range of finance options to help its customers purchase items as per their convinience. The list of these financing options include — no cost EMI on Debit and Credit cards and Bajaj FinServ, 10 per cent instant bank discount on SBI Debit and Credit cards, exchange offers, and special ‘Festive cashback offers’ wherein customers can now start collecting up to Rs 900 worth of offers by visiting the Great India Festival event page on Amazon.in among other things.
Apart from announcing its upcoming festive sale, Amazon India also kicked off the Amazon Festive Yatra — a house-on-wheels, which the company says brings “the best of India together in one place”. Amazon says that the Amazon Festive Yatra not only brings a selection of items from big brands but also unique products from small and medium businesses, startups and artisans from every state and union territory of India.
The Amazon Festive Yatra, which is being ferried by three Tata Signa trucks for which Amazon India has partnered with Tata Motors, will visit 13 cities across the country covering over 6,000 kms throughout the festive season.
The Amazon Festive Yatra will start its journey in New Delhi following which it will move to Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad before ending its trip in Bengaluru. En route, the Amazon Festive Yatra truck will also make a stop at Agra, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Kochi, Mathura, Mumbai and Vishakhapatnam.
