The update will add many new capabilities to the iPhone, but will it increase battery life? We have a new video from iAppleBytes that shows the battery life being tested.
The video below demonstrates the battery life test of an iPhone running the Release Candidate of iOS 16, which is essentially the same software that will be published today.
The tests are done on the iPhone 8, the 2020 iPhone SE, the iPhone XR, the iPhone 11, the iPhone 13, and the iPhone 13. Let’s see if this upgrade improves battery life.
As shown in the video, all handsets were fully charged to 100% and set to 25% screen brightness.
As shown in the video, the majority of devices, with the exception of the iPhone 8, showed battery life increases after installing the iOS 16 software update.
Apple will release iOS 16 for the iPhone later today, along with the watchOS 9 software update.
